Ten Mercs entered this excellent regatta in its third year sponsored by the LAYC. The first day four races were sailed in wind conditions that seemed to change each race.
The breeze was light in the first race and by the fourth race it might have been at the top of a Merc's range.
The second day, races were delayed for lack of wind and when it came in it was moderate. This was the first time the regatta was sailed in the regular Cabrillo sailing area as in the past it was in the area more towards the city of Long Beach.
It seemed most skippers had at least one good race. However National Champion Doug Baird won the PCC by a nice margin with Jim Bradley second. MCYRA President Eric Conn placed third.
