The 56th Memorial Weekend regatta was a unique experience from the normal Mercury schedule.
The evening Westerly winds blew all night until 11am and then transitioned to easterly before reverting. Even though we had a minimum for a fleet, partially because of big wind shifts, lead changes occurred constantly, keeping the game interesting. The boats ramp launched and anchored in Huntington fashion.
