Thanks go out to the LAYC for their hospitality and efficiency in running the Mercury Pacific Coast Championships last weekend.
Sean McGillen, Lorraine Webber,Fred Ripley, Tom Reu, Gayle Reu, Ken Corry, Roger Gough, Ron Constable Marjorie Irvin, Johañ Garcia, Kelly Marie. The courses were fair, timely, and having a leeward gate proved its worth again.
There was a great turnout and good sailing breezes for Saturday and a bit less on Sunday. New talented sailors joined in borrowed boats which will hopefully continue. Five boats came from NorCal. It was hardly a surprise that Mike Burch, sailing with his son Kyle, in his home waters topped the fleet. Unfortunately, Chris Raab who could have given Mike a run could not sail because of a fire which affected his business.
